Headlong Hearts has been crafting and performing catchy and poignant original songs with gorgeous instrumentation sung in stacked harmony since 2017. They weave their musical fabric on violin, banjo, mandolin, guitars, bass and drums.
Headlong Hearts’ musical roots run deep: bassist Mark and fiddler Hugh gigged together in high school; drummer Matt and string whiz Brad toured Europe with The Paperboys; and Brad, Hugh, and guitarist Matt played in The Mountain Bluebirds bluegrass band. That's just a snapshot of what they've accomplished. They’re a crack unit of seasoned pros, known for their live shows that inspire audiences with their lyrics, lift them up by their melodies, and get them fired up by their playing, captivated by their humour and emotional depth.
No wonder they’re a Western Canadian favourite at concerts, festivals and events. Their first record What We Call Forever (2022) was followed up in 2025 with Creatures of Habit.
